Jebala

The card show the traditional dress of the northern region of Morocco - Jebala. The clothing aspect is one of the hallmarks of the Jebli culture. The women attire has three iconic pieces - the large straw hat 'Chachiya', belt wool 'Kourziya' which is red and made of wool or cotton wrapped around the waits, and 'Mendille' is the skirt that clings to the belt covering it.

Traditional Embroidery

Morocco has a well deserved reputation for textiles since Roman times especially woven and embroidered fabrics of the Berbers. Berber women continue to weave wool blankets, rugs, cloaks, storage bags, pillow and cushion covers using black, brown white, or yarns sometimes dyed.
