This is a typical postcard from India, used to write letters. One can write on the space on the side of the address and behind the card. I remember my mom storing dozens of these in shelves long ago; before mobile phones were a common entity; and she used these postcards and 'Inland Letters' to write to her relatives during festivals. This bring back sweet memories. The script on the side is in Bengali, and it translates to 'Good wishes from the country'.
