Bannik

Bannik is a bathhouse spirit in Slavic folklore. It frightens people, thus to appease the Bannik, people leave him a piece of rye bread with lots of coarse salt. Artwork is by Vladimir Arzhevitin.

Kikimora

Kikimora is a house spirit in Slavic folklore. Artwork is by Vladimir Arzhevitin. Kikimora usually lives behind the stove, under the floor or in the attic of the house. It appears in the house, and it does constant mischiefs which causes frights; it prevents sleep by rustle, roar, squeak, cry, breaks dishes, throws out the underground bulbs, unfold clothes, drives horses at night, and cuts chicken feathers and wool from sheep.
