Gifu: Shirakawa-go
Released in September 2009
The Historic Villages of Shirakawa-gō and Gokayama are one of Japan's UNESCO World Heritage Sites; located between the borders of Gifu and Toyama prefectures. The village of Shirakawa-gō looks magnificent in the snow.
