The Bronze Horseman

This is the statue of Peter the Great (the First) in St.Petersburg, Russia. It was commissioned by his wife Catherine the Great, and created by the French sculptor Falconet. The statue's pedestal is the Thunder Stone(1250 tonne), which claims to be the largest statue to be moved by man. It took twelve long years, from 1770 to 1782, to create this masterpiece.
