Island of Sylt

Sylt is the fourth largest island in Northern Germany, and the largest island in the North Sea.  It is known for its distinctive shape of its shoreline, and is known for its tourist resorts.  The island is of the present form from the last 400 years. It was formed of the moraines from older ice ages. Moraines are accumulation of glacial debris. Sol'ring is the indigenous speech of Sylt. This island has unique Frisian-style houses.
