Finnish Winter

Received on: 22 Dec, 2011
Winter in Finland lasts for four months long, and the snow typically covers the land from middle of December to early April. The coldest winter days of southern Finland are usually under −20 °C, and the warmest days of July and August can be as high as 30 °C.Winters in north Finland are nearly 7 months long, and snow covers the lands almost 6 months, from October to early May. Summers in the north are quite short, only 2–3 months.Because of Finland's northern location, winter is the longest season.
