Mount Rainer

Mount Rainer is a stratovolcano, located in Seattle, in Washington. It is one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world, and is on the 'Decade Volcano' list. It has a summit elevation on 14,411 ft. Mt. Rainer lies in the cascade volcanic arc, and its early lava deposits are more than 840,000 years old. Glacier formation is another important feature on Mt. Rainer. They are very much important for streamlined flow of several river, which provides water for irrigation and electric power.
