The
text on the card in Turkish means ‘May your Bayram be blessed’. In Turkey, Bayram refers
to celebrated religious public holidays, such as Eid ul-Fitr. People attend
prayer services, purchase new clothes for the occasion, and meet and wish all
their relatives and friends. They also pay their respects to the deceased ones.
Traditional sweets such as baclava, and Turkish Delights, are greatly enjoyed
during this festive time.
