Seiffen

This image shows a winter view of the church in Seiffen, Germany. This little town is loacted in Erzgebirgskreis, sharing a border with the Czech Republic. This town is famous for their Crhistmas goods and traditions, and is known all over the world for their wooden toy making industry. Apart from the Christmas figures, they are also famous for their ‘’Smoking man’’/manking toys, which represent the varied occupations of the people from the past hundred years. They also have a wonderful museum displaying the history of their toy making industry, which started after the decline of the mining around the 17th century. Also, the town has a school of toy making. I would love to visit this lovely little wonderland someday.
