This gorgeous ethereal card showed arrived from Ukraine. It shows a traditional ritual followed by unmarried girls on 'Ivan Kupala' day, the day of the summer solstice. Young women float their wreaths, also known as 'vinok' in the water with a lit-up candle, and the way and direction it floats would fortell their wedding prospects and romantic relationships; for instance, if the wreath keeps on floating, it would infer she would marry. They let their flowers follow the stream to find their betrothed. If it drowned underwater, it would fortel she would die, and if the candle went out, it would indicate misfortune. The young men would dive into the water, trying to retrieve the vinok of the girl each loved.
